copy text

open word, excel, new email from outlook, etc

paste (nothing happens)

I have to copy it again and paste it into the already open window. This doesn't happen with other vendor programs or simple programs like notepad. It also doesn't happen all the time, but more than not.

Anyone know what's up?

windows XP, office 2007.

Where are you copying your text from? – variant Jul 23 '10 at 10:03
Could be from anywhere, notepad, outlook, word, toad, dreamweaver, internet explorer, firefox... – user23847 Jul 23 '10 at 12:58
Uninstalled Cisco WebEx Productivity Tools worked for me. – Steven Scott May 27 '15 at 16:36

Microsoft usually recommend you to try starting Word/Excel/Outlook without any addons to see if that cures the program and if so to disable the addons until your figure out which one causes the problem and the contact the authors.

The other type of programs that can cause problems are desktop sharing/collaboration programs, so if you have any of these you can try disabling them.

I removed the add-ins and testing it. Like I said, it doesn't always do it. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll let you know how it works out! – user23847 Jul 27 '10 at 14:08
Nope, didn't work. – user23847 Jul 29 '10 at 12:25

If you have a Samsung Printer and happened to install the Easy Document Printer software, remove it. Fixed it for me.
