What could this be? RAM?

I've tried swapping out the hard disk with a new nice SATA one and reinstalling Windows from DVD, and as soon as it gets to the point where the computer is asked to cooperate it opts for one of the error messages listed in the title.

Sounds like RAM to me, though it could also be your video card (when the card allocates from it's own RAM, and has problems, it'll throw the same error.)

I'd run Memtest and see what it says. Software memory testers suck in comparison to hardware ones, but hardware RAM testers cost a godawful amount of money, and Memtest should be good enough if you're seeing a LOT of errors.

Analyzing the minidump files that are created during a bsod may give clues.

What version of Windows did it come with?

Also, have you installed new RAM in this machine since you purchased it?

Windows 7 and No. It is something at the hardware level but I know not what with certainty. – Dane Jul 27 '10 at 13:42
It seems to me that it could either be faulty RAM in the device or a bad driver with Windows 7 and the machine. If you just got it might be best to take it in for warranty. But if you dont still have a warranty, try swapping out the RAM first. – Brandon Jul 27 '10 at 13:54
