I'd really like to find a small board (probably EBX size or smaller) that uses an x86 processor, can run Linux, has a PC/104 expansion bus, and has around 10 analogue and digital I/O ports. The only boards I can find that meet this criteria are from a company called Diamond Systems, but they seem to be having a lot of issues with their boards right now (Neptune has been on backorder for 3 months and counting now... and their VIA-based boards are being discontinued next year).

Are there any other companies that specialize in this type of board?

There is a list of companies that specialize in PC/104 at http://www.pc104.com/ .

Have you considered perhaps two boards, one board with a CPU and the PC/104 expansion bus, and a PC/104 board with the analog and digital I/O ports? A few clicks away from the above site I find dozens of CPU boards. A few clicks away from the above site I find a bunch of analog/digital I/O boards.

Have you considered perhaps two boards, one board with a CPU and a USB host socket, and a USB peripheral with analog and digital I/O?
