I am using the MODx CMS. Can JavaScript be used with MODx? How about integrating Newsletters?

I just installed one but it doesn't seem to work. After installation of TXNewsletter it's just there, but I couldn't find where to start.

Additional:

Thanks Matan, I have a problem now with the installation. I installed XAMPP and then I unzipped the file of modx1.04 and then I typed the localhost and I see the XAMPP settings. My I couldn't figure out where to create the database in MySQL. Under tools I only have this: phpMyAdmin, Webalizer, Mercury, Mail, and FileZilla FTP. Where to add the database for MODx and then create the user? XAMPP is quite complicated..

Another question is: If I open localhost/install/index.php in a web browser it says

Can't be found, please contact the webmaster.

Do I need to configure or something in XAMPP?

Use MODx documents to manage your linked Style Sheets, Images and Javascript. Transform them into XML, PDF, Excel or Word documents with snippets and this handy new feature.

Can I use my favorite Javascript library with MODx? Yes, MODx imposes no restrictions whatsoever on what comes out on the front end.
