For those customers who are looking for email only hosting, can you provide a recommendation? Monthly payments may be a nice feature for those who might jump to another full hosting solution in the future.

Please leave your recommendations and experiences with any hosting provider that you've used.

Have you considered ~~Gmail~~ Google Apps Standard Edition, you just need a domain name. It won't be a email@gmail.com, it will be email@domainname.com

As Fretje pointed out, it's Google apps that gets you the gmail interface for your domain.

You're actually talking about Google Apps for Domains which is not exactly the same as gmail (gmail is part of it though) ==> google.com/apps/intl/en/group/index.html – fretje Aug 2 at 17:30
