I hope this is OK to ask here. I'm looking for a new monitor (pair). I bought my current monitors about 3 years ago, and 1 of them had a dead pixel. At the time, Samsung required like 15 pixels to be returned, and Newegg said it wasn't their problem (it was stated as such in their warranty). Now I look at Newegg's warranty http://www.newegg.com/HelpInfo/ReturnPolicy.aspx#36 and it doesn't mention anything about dead pixels, just that they'll replace it within 30 days. Am I safe to buy my monitor from newegg since this warranty states nothing about dead pixels?

This is the monitor I'm looking at btw. I wish companies would keep making 16:10 monitors instead of going to 16:9 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001371

This question is best directed at Newegg's support/customer service people. – Brian Knoblauch Aug 10 '10 at 19:18
Use a credit card to buy, if you have issues you can file a dispute with your CC company until the problem is resolved. – Moab Aug 10 '10 at 19:46

I'm sorry if this is considered a buying recommendation. I'm not actually looking for a recommendation, I know the monitor I want. I'm worried about dead pixel warranty information – Falmarri Aug 10 '10 at 20:01

Oh sorry, I must have misunderstood you...in that case it's still off-topic because that question can only be answered for sure by newegg. – Bobby Aug 10 '10 at 20:04
