I've heard of Electrolysis but is it in the beta yet?

No. Its not even in beta yet. Also, don't expect it to make it to the final version. They'll do it in Fennec(Fx mobile) first and from then on port it to PC. But apparently both Fx mobile and PC release at the same time. So you won't get it in the final Fx 4.0

It was IE's idea to have per process tabs in the first place, even before chrome. – user18151 Aug 12 '10 at 7:58

Not every tab, but it runs plugins like Flash and Silverlight in a separate process.
