I currently test out the Firefox 4b2 Version and I am not able to install any other language than the language I downloaded Firefox. This is very problematic since I am used to Firefox in my native language, but I also need correction for writting in English and French since I am surfing around the whole internet. I can not overlook my typos, especially in foreign languages.

regards

What do you mean that you can't install any other language? Is it because the addons aren't compatible with 4b2? I just tested out French Classique, and it works fine. source: addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/language-tools – Nathaniel Saxe Aug 12 '10 at 7:29

I believe that all the English dict addons are not compatible with 4b2, you'll have to downgrade or force the compatibility issue, which may cause problems with firefox (random crashes etc).

If you wish, you may use https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6543/ to force firefox to ignore the compatibility problems and should allow you to use the dictionaries.

It's probable that the dictionary isn't compatible with the latest beta release. In case you really need the dictionary you'll have to downgrade to a stable release.

Submit a bug report and go back to 3.6.8.
