Fireworks free, open source equivalent?

Question

I have replaced Dreamweaver with Netbeans, Photoshop with Gimp and now I want to replace Fireworks with a free equivalent.

Are there any that could give me an interactive mockup like Fireworks?

You may want to try Inkscape, too. it's a vector graphics program and it's OSS and cross-platform.

The closest alternative to Fireworks would be to again use GIMP.

Possibly Paint.Net, but I think GIMP would be better.
