Possible Duplicate:
How to batch rename files copied from OSX to Windows with ‘:’ in filenames?

I've downloaded a lot of podcasts from one of the national radio shows here in Norway. The problem is that they are named like this: NameOfShow DD.MM.YY.mp3 (the same is the ID3 title-tag, and some them are named NameOfShow DD.MM.YY #2.mp3). My Android-MP3-player can't really sort this in the right order, neither can windows.

What I could do is setting up a local PHP-server and renaming them all with a script to NameOfShow YY.MM.DD.mp3, but I thought I should check in with the community first – maybe you guys know of a better/quicker way of doing this.

Thanks.

EDIT: Maybe software that can rename files through regex? If that exists.

You don't need a whole server for this. PHP scripts can be run using the command line interpreter, php.exe.

You could use a tool like Bulk Renamer it supports regexps and a lot more. This Blog has a very good explanation of it's features (better than the home page)
