I have a Core2Quad Q8200, DDR2 RAM and am in search of a motherboard. Desired specs:
This is for a Ubuntu based server that will typically be headless and accessed via VNC. I have an Asus P5B Deluxe WiFi now that is great, except that the USB doesn't seem to work...funky errors when linux is setting up the devices. Suggestions? Thanks! | |||

I HIGHLY recommend Asus' P5B VISTA PREMIUM mobo ... it has everything you are looking ... and a GREAT deal more. I have two: one for a Core 2 Quad Extreme, the other for a Core 2 Duo Extreme. This is probably the best mobo I have ever used. It's features are too numerous to list here ... check out Asus' site for the mobo: http://usa.asus.com/Search.aspx?SearchKey=p5b%20premium%20vista The mobo is optimized for Vista (and, therefore, W7).
