Recently, my 13" MacBook Pro(5) has been going into a sleep mode from which I am unable to wake it up from without a reset. When I close the lid, after being "asleep" for about 10 minutes, I open the lid to a black screen and I cannot wake my computer up. The power light is on, but pressing the On/Off button does nothing. Manually selecting sleep from the apple menu results in the same problem if I wait too long. Tried going through terminal and disabling the "deep sleep" option to no avail. My wife's standard Mac white model does not have this problem. I am running OS X Leopard 10.6.4

Is your monitor brightness "correct"? Sometimes before sleep os x automatically dims the screen. Also check console for any error messages. – Vervious Aug 28 '10 at 1:30
Honestly, take it to the apple store, they've got great support no matter how old the laptop – Ryan Gibbons May 19 '11 at 20:19
