IBM Lenovo T61 wireless connection problem

Question

I have an IBM Lenovo T61 laptop provided from my office.

I can easily connect to the office wireless network when I am in office.

But when I am at home, I am facing the problem while connecting to my home wireless network connection.

Most of the times the list of wireless networks are not displayed.

I have disabled my firewall settings.

I have also tried "Refresh Network List".

I though the problem might be with my router, but my friend (who lives with me in my home) can access the wireless networks easily.

Can anybody please help?
