How do I modify a multilevel list in MS Word 2007?

I understand that I can link any particular style to a list level. In this case, I should link a flat list style to a level in my multilevel list. My concern is the modifying (the Numbering...) of a flat list style does not include indents, align at, etc. –  Kit Aug 31 '10 at 6:16
