Our secretary has this issue. She wants to scan in a legal-size document (8.5 x 14 inches) to do OCR.

Every place we've found to specify the size of the document, though, it won't allow lengths that big.

Is this an Acrobat issue, or a limitation of the multifunction printer we're using to scan in the document?

Update: Model of machine is Xerox Phaser 6110MFP. The settings I speak of are here (among other places): Create -> PDF from Scanner -> Custom Scan.

Try another program to scan it and then open it in Acrobat, perhaps? – digitxp Sep 8 '10 at 14:47
