I'm running Google Chrome, version 6.0.472.55 and this is the second time today, and the third time this week that I've had to reinstall it.

I click on the taskbar icon, and briefly the updater app starts up (monitored using ProcExp from SysInternals) and then it closes down, but Google Chrome doesn't start.

Any suggestions ?

Are you using Windows Vista or 7? Check in %homepath%\AppData\Local\Google\CrashReports and see if Chrome left any logs. AppData will be named Application Data in Windows XP, if I remember correctly. – JamesGecko Sep 9 '10 at 23:15
JamesGecko - I looked, and found some files from a few weeks ago. Nothing recent. I've deleted those files and will look again the next time it happens. – cometbill Sep 10 '10 at 13:02
