I have an HP MediaSmart server that has started to have some problems, and I believe they are disk related. In order to trouble shoot these problems, I am finding the need for an external display. However, this particular device, does not have an external Video out port (VGA, DVI, etc.). RDP isn't an option because after about a minute of boot up, the machine stops responding.

So, my question, is there any USB based video cards that someone can recommend? It doesn't have to be super fancy as I won't be using it for things like gaming, or in reality daily use beyond fixing the previously mentioned problems.

We aren't really supposed to do buying recommendations on SuperUser. – digitxp Sep 11 '10 at 19:38
@digitxp I can understand that. However, I wasn't looking for buying recommendations so much as brand recommendations. – Jordan S. Jones Sep 12 '10 at 2:49
One more thing: it may be easier just to take it to a place that'll do this professionally. Windows Home Server isn't meant to have a screen IIRC. – digitxp Sep 12 '10 at 19:25
