i'm looking for a certain 3d software which i checked out a while ago but can't remember its name. it was freeware i think and it was possible to create complex fractals and all kinda thing through somekind of scripting engine which were stored in a textfile. i tried googling but couldn't find it - anyone knows which it is?

Ultrafractal can output results to POVRay. If you've got the math skills, POVRay is probably fully capable of rendering all the fractals you'd want. Then there's Sourceforge, which probably doesn't host the specific software you're thinking of, but may have something similar. | |||
