I want to voice chat with strangers in the internet, but most of the software out there is aimed to gamers.

Isn't there a free/broader topic voice chat software for talking to strangers?

@studio yes, it is if you don't take precautions. but it is the principle behind BBS, IRC, Usenet, Omegle, Chatroulette, to meet new people and to talk to them – Jader Dias Sep 18 '10 at 21:34
While some of the alternative I cited allow you to voice chat, some of them require you to use provide also a video stream. – Jader Dias Sep 18 '10 at 21:35
