mouse won't respond in certain account of Windows 7

Question

A weird thing is happening with my mouse cursor - the (touchpad) mouse on my asus laptop stopped responding. I used the keyboard to switch to the admin account, where the mouse works fine, but when I switch back to my normal account, the mouse moves for about 1 second before it freezes permanently.

Any ideas? thanks for your help!

Perhaps you installed some kind of software at your user account that crashes your mouse driver.
