I have a home network, my own new desktop running Win7 with wired network connector (Ethernet 10\100), and 3 other desktops running XP (1 wireless, 2 wired 10\100). The problem is that since i got this new desktop (Win7), other computers often "disappear" from the Win7 netwrok and cannot be seen on my desktop. At the same time, other desktops "see" each other, so its not a netwrok addapter, i think. all PC's are defined as members of "WORKGROUP". it may be related to the fact that my Win7 get asleep on Inactivity EVERY 10-15 minutes. can anyone suggest a solution?

thanks, EliR

HomeGroup is a new feature to Win7, the other machines the OP has are all WinXP and so will not support HomeGroup... – DMA57361 Oct 8 '10 at 8:48
they see it as a workgroup – Postal Oct 11 '10 at 8:34
