I have a computer for a client and I can get the cd drive to burn cds and read from them. However, for some reason the drive won't open once it's read something. I've tried to right click on the drive and "eject" but that doesn't work either. The only thing that seems to work is the paperclip-in-the-hole but I know there's a way to fix this.

I've tried this with 3 different cd drives so it's not a problem with the original. It feels like a OS issue or something.

Any thoughts are very much welcome.

Um, doesn't the drive have a eject button on front panel ? – Sathya Sep 27 '10 at 4:20
Yes but that doesn't work on any of the drive's I've tried. I can't believe that buttons on 3 separate drives don't work. – AppsByAaron Sep 27 '10 at 4:53
Do you use Windows Explorer to burn to disc, or a third party application? – Scott McClenning Sep 27 '10 at 5:02
This client just uses the Windows Explorer to burn...but that should have nothing to do with the eject function. It's just very odd. – AppsByAaron Sep 27 '10 at 14:49
