Rule #1... if you don't know what it is, don't delete it. – KronoSSep 28 '10 at 4:51
A question: Does the keyboard not work, or does your log-in not work?
The question doesn't really match with the title, making things...complicated. – TrezoidSep 28 '10 at 6:14

Typically none of the files in /var/log and /var/cache are absolutely required for the system to work, but their subdirectories and their permissions are critical. You'll need to provide more information to get concrete help, starting with details about your operating system (e.g. version X of distribution Y), what (if anything) you have left, and what (if anything) you have deleted elsewhere. – GillesSep 28 '10 at 7:12

After del the dirs and files i found apt-get didnot work. Then I create apt dir, it seems well done. After a sleep, login fails. – chengeSep 28 '10 at 11:27
