When I click save for web, and choose jpeg (or any other image format for that matter), there's this random black line that appears that's not there before.

Here's the file in question http://www.mediafire.com/file/3dom338d3wsgc8p/loginbutton.ai

Probably best off asking this on one of the many Adobe forums. – user12575 Oct 3 '10 at 2:28
i don't think this question belong to stackoverflow; it has nothing to do with programming. you may want to try photo.stackexchange.com or superuser.com – Paulo Guedes Oct 3 '10 at 2:29

I was able to open the file, save for web and view the button without any black lines? Some things to investigate.

  • Are all your images and slice objects aligned to the pixel grid in Pixel Preview?
  • Have you considered that the text or round corner effect is altering the export? consider outlining the path and the text.
