WinRAR 3.93, WinXP SP2:

Whenever I start trying to drag and drop, it immediately fails (as soon as I click and start moving the mouse) with the message "Drag and drop operation failed".

You may want to consider upgrading to XP SP3. SP2 has been discontinued and the upgrade is largely painless. – Force Flow Oct 6 '10 at 21:28
