I am relatively new to Photoshop and I want to improve my skills. I am looking for recommendations for screencasts or tutorial which will show me the basics to advanced use of the Photoshop software.

Oh, you definitely want to go to

It's a really funny series that covers a lot of Photoshop.

The best (and free at the most part) is PSD.TUTS.

Photoshop User TV from the guys at Kelby Training. Very informative and humorous. In fact as I was on the site grabbing the link, a coworker noticed and chimed in with, "I learned everything from that site before I went to design school. I was miles ahead in my classes."

Delving further into the offerings from the Kelby enterprise will bring you more shows on Photoshop, Lightroom, photography, and more. I've read four of Scott Kelby's books and seen them used in the classroom; they are great.
