I was following this guide:

http://blog.ibeentoubuntu.com/2009/04/getting-that-os-x-experience-on-ubuntu.html

So, I installed gnome-do (Docky), etc. and found that the computer is running rather slowly. Apparently my 3D graphics card is not enabled (does not show up in the list of drivers) and I am unable to enable visual effects due to an error.

I am not an experienced Ubuntu user, but I can follow commands. My laptop is Dell E1505. What am I missing? Thanks, and let me know what questions you have.
