I'm looking for alternatives for the popular dd-wrt router firmware. I don't really like the look of it. It seems like it was quite good 2 or 3 years ago, but I have a feeling some better things have come out in the meanwhile. I have a DIR-614 D4 router, but that shouldn't matter as other people would probably find this question just as useful in the long run...

This question appears to be off-topic. The users who voted to close gave this specific reason:

  • "Questions seeking for hardware shopping recommendations are off-topic because they are often relevant only to the question author at the time the question was asked and tend to become obsolete quickly. Instead of asking what to buy, try asking how to find out what suits your needs." – Excellll, random

Tomato is another firmware that seems to be popular.
