Since I am usually working with a lot of tabs it's a bit unproductive to switch videos from my playlist.
Is there a Internet Explorer/Winamp/Windows Media Player solution for this?
If not, is there a seperate application that can play my youtube videos?

It's not a desktop application per se, but what about creating an application shortcut to YouTube with Chrome? It will create a shortcut on your desktop that will open YouTube in a dedicated Chrome window with no browsing controls or tabs. It's also nice for Gmail, Google Calendar, and other self-contained web applications that you may use. |

I have found this, however it doesn't let you import your own playlists from youtube. |
