In considering support for different versions, I am trying to determine market shares for the various versions of Microsoft Word.

Search results for 'microsoft', 'word', and 'market share' are so diluted, I have not been able to come up with any real results. I can also interpret data such as, "74% of Office 2007 users have upgraded to Word 2010", but raw data on usage or sales is preferred.

I realize this is not a technical question, however it is about computer software, and as such I am hoping someone here has knowledge of this data, or where to find it.

I doubt you're going to be able to get information like this. – Billy ONeal Nov 15 '10 at 18:26
Let go of your doubt. The data is out there - just difficult to find. I need more data. Here is an article from PCWorld Business in 2009 stating that 64% of Enterprises use Office 2007: pcworld.com/businesscenter/article/166123/… – BigDave Nov 15 '10 at 18:36
