What is the best cross platform keyboard based web browser? I have tried Conkerer only so far, but would like to try others if there are any.

If you like vim, Vimium for Chrome and Vimperator for Firefox are both great choices. Both are extensions with the aim of bringing vim-like keyboard browsing to major browsers, although the implementation of each differs quite considerably.

If you're an Opera fan, there's a hacky Vimperator knock-off available here. It's incomplete but should get you by until someone decides to write a real extension, seeing as Opera supports those now.

For Safari, take a look here. No idea how good this implementation is, but I assume it's not very complete.

+1 for Vimperator. Not tried Vimium.. – Dentrasi Nov 23 '10 at 13:49
+1 for extensions for existing browsers instead of a new browser. – roviuser Nov 23 '10 at 14:00
The vimperator nightly builds are working nicely with the Firefox beta – bitslave Nov 23 '10 at 14:49
