I have a Lexmark X1180 printer/scanner that I try to get to work with a 64-bit Win 7 HP Probook 4720s, but without success.
I use the driver program cjsX1100EN.exe downloaded from:
http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=driversdownloads&linkSelected=node2^subnode2&locale=EN&userlocale=EN_US
After assuring that there is no old version of the driver installed, I run the exe file, and then the setup program.
The driver installation program runs without any problem but as it completes I get a message from Windows saying that the driver for the X1180 is not installed.... (?)
I have disabled MS Security Essentials antivirus during installation.
I've got the driver to work on another machine (using the same procedure except that on this one I have Sophos antivirus installed): A 64-bit Windows 7 Dell Studio 15.
Have you any ideas what could be wrong in relation to the HP?
