Sharepoint uses windows auth / nt Auth. Is there any way I can get Chrome to remember my previously supplied username / password , or do I need to manually enter it each and every time?

which version of Chrome are you using ? This used to be an issue a while back but not anymore. – Sathya♦ Dec 8 '10 at 17:06
version 8.0.5. The "NT" password box doesn't remember previously entered credentials. In a way this is more secure, but there doesn't even seem to be a checkbox to remember credentials. – JL. Dec 15 '10 at 10:41

Chrome supports NT Authentication now and you should be prompted if you want to save the password.
