In the mean time, I've been using chromium. It's very much unfinished, but at least it's pretty fast :) If you're on ubuntu, you can add the following to your

There are alpha releases of the chromium browser (the browser that google chrome is based off of) released everyday, but they aren't the most usable versions. They recently have introduced the support for the flash plugin, but many of the menus are incomplete. There are instructions to install the daily builds on ubuntu. | |||

One reason for it taking so long is that is looks as if they are reimplementing most (all?) of the dialogs using native widgets, i.e. they aren't using Wine as Picasa does. | |||

They have not released a timeline and/or roadmap, and are justifiably working on the bigger markets right now in terms of extendability, etc. It'll be done when it's done. -Adam | |||||||||
