I had a user in my windows xp. I have deleted that user through mycomputer/manage/localcomputer. Now when i log in through administrator i cant access to data related to that deleted user. when i searched and tried to access data, it said access denied. I then again created user with the same name(as of deleted one ) but its like a new user. who also dont have right to access data. Please suggest

as long as it was a local user with no EFS you can just (as admin) R click properties and take ownership of the relevant directory...make sure to select apply to subdirectories. Alternately mount from linux livecd and copy to a FAT partition. | |||
