I am supposed to design themes for linux.how can i make them> i currently use windows but am familiar wiht puppy linux.

all i need to know is how do i assemble the theme, i work on photoshop on windows anyways, but since this is a linux theme, i dont have much idea – conqrr Dec 17 '10 at 9:10

This depends on the window manager you're running - a KDE theme, a GNOME theme, a WindowMaker theme, an Evolution theme, etc. are all different and Linux can run any of those WMs. According to wikipedia, JWM is the typical default window manager on Puppy Linux, so you might want to tag/edit your question accordingly (assuming you haven't chosen a different WM). – Dave Sherohman Dec 17 '10 at 9:39

Have you even worked with Linux by now? Because without the knowledge about the underlaying system/principles and functionality of the X-System and of the Window Managers (as mentioned by @Dave Sherohman) it's going to be a tough ride. @Aron Rotteveel: I disagree with SF. – Bobby Dec 17 '10 at 12:45
