It sounds like you're trying to download a file from a server and that server is telling you that you're downloading too much and it won't allow you to continue. This is, of course, given the extremely limited context you've provided. Can you be more specific? | |||

Some of the file sharing websites will only allow a certain number of downloads from any particular IP unless you register, and in some cases pay. It sounds to me from the information here that you're using one of those sites, and you've tripped over the limit. The limits usually reset after a while, so you can retry later. Or, you could register and try again while logged in. | |||

Chances are your ISP is using a transparent proxy (often for caching or content filtering), and someone else behind the same transparent proxy server is downloading, and the site has limited the number of files that can be downloaded through a single IP address. Some download sites have an alternate port, since most transparent proxies are port 80 only. Its a bit of a pain, but there's no real workaround - i used to use a proxy on a VPS on occations when i needed to get files off a file dropsite | |||
