Is there a way to selectively remove some of the historic messages and calls? I'm looking to keep the history of my business calls and chat messages, but clear the private ones.

There is no way i could find to do it solely within skype but these should work
Backup and restore for chat history-edit the backup before restore. http://www.techgist.com/2009/08/25/how-to-backup-and-restore-skype-chat-history/
