I'm a experiencing a slow down on a Mac running Snow Leopard. And think I may have too many processes running after startup, I have about 75 processes running after boot.

I'm curious how much u guys have running the same Snow Leopard or Leopard?

ps ax | wc -l says 84 and it runs beautifully. But: this question is very much subjective, argumentative, and useless. It depends on what you have running and what you're doing with it. A single game process or heavy computing can eat up all your resources. Use proper CPU, memory and disk activity debugging tools to find out what's wrong. – Daniel Beck Jan 6 '11 at 15:51
