Possible Duplicate:
How do I convert a podcast to an audiobook / music track in iTunes?

Some podcasts include songs as individual episodes. No pre-roll, post-roll, nothing.

I would like to move these songs to my regular Music library, but iTunes insists that they are podcasts.

It is possible to change the "genre" setting, but the "media type" cannot be adjusted and remains podcast.

Using a separate podcatcher and manually importing the MP3 files works, but is there a better way?

The accepted answer over there (convert to AAC) works great. – Thilo Aug 15 '09 at 1:42
Converting to AAC is not necessary, and loses fidelity which would be a bad thing for the OP. – Richard Hoskins Aug 15 '09 at 2:23
