I've migrated Windows XP to Windows Server 2008 R2. I was using NERO disc imaging software on XP and I couldn't install it on Server 2008. Maybe it's not supported for server editions (of course the server editions are not meant for that).

Could anyone recommend me a free disc imaging tool for Windows 2008 Server?

I used Alex Feinman's tool myself until 7, but I've heard some reports of it not working for everyone on x64 Vista+. You might use ImgBurn, it works well.

+1 for ImgBurn, does the job nicely. Do wonder what he's trying to do though. – tombull89 Jan 7 '11 at 14:46
Useful tool but with ImgBurn, first we should create iso file on the machine and then we'll have to burn the iso to cd/dvd. For this, I'm already using PowerIso but still good tool you recommended. – user51737 Jan 9 '11 at 16:09

If you want to burn ISOs, http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/ is great. If you jut want to create a Disc, doen't 2008 do that natively?

I already tried ISORecorder on vista and it copied CDs and DVDs directly but I didn't try it on server 2008. I'll try this. – user51737 Jan 9 '11 at 16:11
