I need a RSS client, like Google Reader, but with customizable update interval, so I don't lose feeds when the RSS feed only maintains the last XX entries

This question came from our site for professional and enthusiast programmers.

How quickly are items dropping off the bottom of the feed document in question? Google Reader typically crawls feeds at least once every few hours (and even more frequently if they ping or use PubSubHubbub). If you're publishing a feed it's generally a good idea to make sure items stay in the feed document for at least 24 hours. –  Laurence Gonsalves Jan 14 '11 at 23:45

I created a web page showing RSS feed for the timeline for a given twitter account. The twitter API is returning the last 20 tweets and I'm looking a way for no losing tweets, other than write a program, create schedule, get and save the feed periodically –  user63227 Feb 29 '12 at 15:16
