I remember about a year ago, I had this talk chat room app. I know its pretty much industry standard and had a vast collection of chat rooms. I just can't remember what its called.

You could enter a room, and could either text chat or speak. It was extremely high quality.

All I remember is there was a hand icon, where you request permission to speak.

Please help me remember this software, it was free, but had some paid options.

Thanks

Just going on what you've explained, I can name a few dozen which use this kind of features (nearly all chat programs do these days). I think this question can lead to a flood of answers. – BloodPhilia Jan 26 '11 at 20:35
I remember it was defacto, this app really stood out. Like the youtube of voice chat apps. – JL. Jan 26 '11 at 20:37
The description is pretty vague, there are lots of chat applications. Could you insert more detail? – Tom Wijsman Jan 26 '11 at 20:37

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. See the FAQ for guidance on how to improve it.
