Backup iTunes (store purchases, iphone backups, playlists) for Windows reinstall

I originally snyc'd my music to my iphone from itunes on my old computer (now crashed and trashed). When I try to sync the music from the iphone to the new computer and new itumes it says that "all items (including music) will be erased" because I can only sync to only one itunes. Since I no longer have the itunes from my old computer, what can I do?

I have used Copytrans to help a number friends out of this exact situation. It's a free download and very straightforward to use.

Under the File menu there is an option to Transfer Purchases from .... that lets you move all your purchases from the iPhone to iTunes. It works really well but it only works for purchases (apps, music etc.) so, for example, if you have music from other sources on your iPhone they won't get transferred.
