Motherboard: MSI H57M-ED65

My motherboard does not recognise my 6GB DDR3 of ram whereas it does recognize the 4GB. I have 3 modules of 2GB each and in the specific bios features it does see the 3 slots and the time frequencies of the three of 'em.

tips: i have a windows 7 64bit system with the latest updated version of bios for my motherboard

I would double check the motherboard manual on what type of RAM could be installed and in what combinations....

Looking through the manual and the compatibility test reports for that motherboard, nowhere did I see a mention as to whether it support running with three DIMMs or not. It is quite possible that it doesn't support it.

Several of the BIOS updates that have been released addressed memory compatibility issues. You can try updating the BIOS and see if it helps.
