I was wondering there are reference materials or in-depth tutorial links (or book recommendaitons) that focus specifically on controlling windows desktop applications with WSH, (automating logon procedures, etc).

I have found many simple examples of vbs scripts that open the calculator or notepad on windows, pass keystrokes to the application , etc, but wanted an in-depth tutorial or reference around this.

Where have you looked so far? Have you checked the links at the bottom of WSH's wikipedia article? Didn't MSDN provide enough information? – Daniel Beck Jan 29 '11 at 15:48
