I use Windows Live Mobile to sync my emails to my Windows Mobile 6.0 smartphone (HTC Touch). Sometimes the sync hangs, the phone is running hot, and the battery is drained in a very short time - My guess is, the Windows Live sync process is running in an endless loop, using full cpu power, so the device runs hot, power runs low.

Is there any way to fix this?

Right now I can only hope to notice when my device runs hot (unlikely) and switch it off an on. After the reboot it usually works like it should.

Hmmm. Have you contacted the manufacturer? How old is the device?Maybe the battery is needing replacement.

Interesting idea - I'd never suspect the battery, since the problem does only happen on syncing with windows live mail. Syncing with exchange, browsing, nothing else ever made the device hang. You got experience with hangs due to old batteries? – Sam Aug 19 '09 at 7:55
