I need a simple note taking desktop app which syncs over Internet. Any suggestions? Evernote has been considered already.

pure textfiles + any sync-program out there (dropbox, etc). i personally go the vim + git route.

other than that: check out the "list of notetaking software" over at wikipedia :)

the editor you use is an app :) – akira Feb 9 '11 at 11:52
This is kind of a pain for simple notes. About as convenient as sending email to yourself. See Sathya's comment on question for better solutions. – Muhd Nov 2 '11 at 22:16

OneNote is a fantastic way to do this. It can sync over the network in a variety of ways. I use it on both my work machines and my home machine, storing the notes on Windows Live Skydrive, and it syncs up the notes almost instantaneously.
