I've just installed Ubuntu 10.10 on my laptop. It's all great except that the screen resolution is a bit poor. I have it set at 1200:800. xrandr it indicates that I can have a bigger screen resolution, but I don't seem to to be able to increase it beyond 1200:800.

Another interesting thing is that xorg.conf does not exist on the /etc/X11/.

I'm using a Sony Vaio FS315 with Intel Graphics.

Is there a way for me to increase my screen resolution? If so, how?
