And what does your motherboard's manual say about BIOS error E9? (Incidentally, some Intel chips require a separate video card, but I'm just guessing here.) – Randolph West Feb 12 '11 at 8:45

What's the question? Do you want to know what the error is? If the motherboard is repairable? Regardless, you really need to provide more information. – Tog Feb 12 '11 at 13:02
Maybe he’s just showing off. :-) But seriously, he’s obviously trying to get help with his malfunctioning system. I really don’t see what’s so hard to understand or why it needs to be closed or down-voted. Can’t you just ask for more info in the comments and wait? Why close or down-vote it? That accomplishes nothing. – Synetech Aug 13 '11 at 4:31

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. See the FAQ for guidance on how to improve it.

According to this, E9 = "Entering BIOS setup"

Not sure if this applies to your motherboard though.

We need to know the bios manufacturer to answer correctly, E9 on a Phoenix bios means it cannot initialize the interrupt controller, a bad motherboard.
